Imagine what it would’ve been like if Sokka hadn’t managed to catch her hand when it slipped. If he was the only one of the two who had been saved here. I would’ve cried. He would hate himself; she’d never gotten married, grow old, and had children. The secret of metalbending would’ve been lost, and Lin Bei Fong never would’ve existed, let alone been the head of the police force. And if Lin Bei didn’t exist, she probably isn’t going to have some future badass scene where she saves Korra from the jaws of death and Korra would probably be killed.

It gets worse.

Put yourself in Toph’s place at this moment. The only thing she is touching — the only thing she is holding onto — is Sokka’s hand. That’s all. She can feel the wind and hear the yelling, but she can’t see any of it. Her world is the world she feels through her surroundings, but right now she can only feel Sokka. So her world is Sokka’s hand, and it’s slipping away.

Blue-Ten (who is also on Tumblr) created a portrait for each of the main characters of Avatar: The Last Airbender demonstrating each person’s two sides:

• Aang as the playful child and the all-powerful Avatar.
• Katara as mothering water bender and destructive blood bender.
• Toph as the high class lady she was born as and the bratty, stubborn earth bender she really is.
• Zuko as the merciless prince of the Fire Nation and the good-hearted rebel.
• Sokka as comic relief to his friends and intense warrior for his homeland.

These pictures attest not only to the show’s incredible ability to create complex characters, but to Blue-Ten’s remarkable ability to capture that complexity.

Back when Avatar the Last Airbender was at it’s peek, a LOT of people made these videos. However Ravenhpltc242 made the best. She even got recognised by the Avatar creators! Her AMV’s even make me teary sometimes. I miss the days when i had so many friends around the world who’d watch the show with me as it streamed live; the amount of love, excitement and passion there was unreal! Trust me, if you’re an Avatar fan, and you havent watched it in a while, THIS will inspire you to watch and love it all over again!

I found this on deviant art while looking for some good ATLA animal art and I thought it was awesome!

They did the characters in the traditional art style for which each nation was based. Inuit, Tibetan, Korean (i think), and Chinese.
